HI all, hoping to get a little guidance. I've built a few rods now for myself and my close friends but I've never refurbished one. I have some older store bought rods that have some cracking in the thread epoxy on the guides that I'd like to repair. What is the best way to go about this? Should I completely strip the guides off the rod and re-wrap them and re-coat them or is it possible just to remove the old thread epoxy and put new on it ?

Winter Haven Chain, FL – Went to the Winter Haven chain of lakes this past weekend and had a lot of success. Spent the majority of our time in lakes Spring and Mirror. There were some schooling bass early in the morning hitting lip-less crank baits. Most fish came by way of Senkos into lily pad pockets on windblown banks. Mostly small fish but did manage to boat 3 2lb plus and one 5lb fish.

Camp Mack and Camp Lester in Lake Wales FL on Lake Kissimmee and there is also Grape Hammock fish camp on the south end of the lake.

Has anyone in Central FL fished Lake Walk-In-Water lately? If so, how is the hydrilla in it? It used to be really good. A number of years ago my wife and I went shiner fishing there and did really well and I'd like to take the kids and see if we can duplicate it.
