HI, I am new to the forum. I am predominately a pond fisherman, although I try to get away for some fishing a couple times a year, once to Florida, and once to western Ontario for great smallie fishing. I like fishing worms and spinner baits, but have never been too successful with crankbaits probably because I don't give them enough chance. This year I am promising myself to fish them harder. I have a great opportunity this weekend to fish a pond that gets almost no fishing pressure in Middle Georgia where the 4th largest LMB ever caught in the state was caught. Apparently a lot of big fish there that aren't hook shy. Any way, enough rambling. Thanks for letting me join jim
  3. Hi, I am new to the forum, and am excited to read some great tips from obviously some great fishermen. Just yesterday I saw a demonstration on U tube of the Davy Knot. It looks terrific for that quick knot that could be tied even in low light late in the evening. (old eyes) My question is, would this be a good know for bass fishing with either braid or Mono? It seems to be shown predominately on fly fishing videos. Thanks for your help jim
