  1. Holy crap man. I went there during what seemed to be the peak (like ecto-cooler water... SO GREEN!), and even the seagulls were like "yeah, f@&k this." And sat on the shore. I took that as a warning and left. Hope you're feeling better.
  2. Anyone know if Silver still has a Harmful bloom? I'm hoping the chilly mornings are quickly eradicating it. Crossing my fingers for Friday!
  3. Are we talking about birdsong? I've been meaning to go there and throw some senkos and ploppers. Maybe a frog, too!
  4. Awesome! Thanks guys. I'll be sure to set em up and wet a line asap. I'll let ya know how it goes. Probably going with a spinnerbait and pitchin' with the hf, then cranking and lipless with the mhm. I'm still in shock at the price. More than $120 off.
  5. Hey guys, I picked up a few St. Croix Rage rods from Cabela's not too long ago. They were on SUPER clearance, about $40 each.. I couldn't pass them up. Two of which are 7'11" heavy fast and the other two are 7'8" medium heavy moderate. What kind of reels should I pair these with and what kind of lures should I use? I have a large assortment of retrieve speeds from 5.4 to 7.5. I've never had rods of this length and just wanted to know if that changed anything except the casting distance. Thanks in advance!
  6. Finally caught a couple in the slop over at Birdsong!
  7. Happy Father's Day y'all! Hope you're fishing. ? Tight lines!

  9. That's the only one I know of. Wait.. There are others?!
  10. Hey Chris, where have you been going? I've been doing a little Creek fishing on the Catt, but I'd like to stay closer to home. Which of the birdsong ponds are most productive for you, and what is a good lure to toss in there? I've tried the Ned Rig and some underspins, but the weeds have taken over..
  11. Pretty sure it's sc11. But for that price, you can't go wrong! I'm going to pair it with either a Daiwa Tatula or a Lew's bb1 pro.. Any suggestions?
  12. Awesome! Found a 7' med xfast St. Croix Mojo Bass (plastics rod) at Cabela's for $55... I call that a win. ?
  13. Yak'd 18 mile creek today for about 5 hours. Put away 5 good ones! One lucky guy got off just before I pulled him out of the water. SO CROWDED after 10am. It's like kayaking is the new fad or something. Lol Sounds like a great day! Where did you end up going?
  14. I'll be at Silver all day on Monday. Let me know how your trip goes and what they're biting on.. I'll hit Cabela's and load up. Lol
  15. I like braid for rivers because it's not buoyant and has no stretch, allows for direct contact with the fish. Also, sometimes I tie on a flouro leader if they're finicky. Double uni knot or Albright, usually.
