What size fluoro leader should I attach to 30# braid and how long?

Every knot I use with fluorocarbon line when I cinch down it heats up and curls, it becomes unusable. I use plenty of spit, I have even sprayed it with kvd line conditioner, same thing happens. is it possible that the line I am using is no good? I am using p-line brand.

When tying a uni to uni knot from fluoro to braid for a leader, will the knot created cause problems casting with a baitcaster as the knot travels through the guides?

I am using p-line 8 lb.

When I tie a knot with my fluorocarbon line it curls up and becomes unusable. I wet the line and tried a couple of different knots but still have the same problem. Is there a specific knot I need to use? What am I doing wrong?
