  1. Oh my.... I'd be hightailing in the other direction if i came across that thing.
  2. Awesome! That is one beautiful bird too. What did it weigh in at?
  3. Hey all! I finally decided to join the forums and make an account after coming to this website for a lot of questions I've had. The posts on this site offer a lot of very good information and the users are very helpful. I'm from Northern Virginia, I've been fishing for about 5 or 6 years now. I do a lot of river fishing for largemouths and bluegill, and i also go out on the Chesapeake Bay quite often. We catch a lot of spot, croaker, perch, flounder and bluefish out there. It's good fun! I look forward to talking about fish with you all.

I've fished the creek by my house with much success. But I've only done it during the summer months. The water is decently cold and i figure i wouldn't have much luck during winter. Anyone ever have any luck creek bassin during winter? Next time i get out i'll post some pictures. Caught a nice 3 pounder there last year.
  5. I found an caught an inception bass once with another bass inside of it.
  6. I've only ever fished for bluegill, catfish and largemouths. Any tips for catching crappie with a jig? I'm not really sure how to use one. I hear they like to hang out next to downed trees and rocks in the water along rivers.
  7. I've only ever been out there for bass and never tried for crappie. I've had a lot of luck with rooster tails catching lots of blue gills up stream in the bull run towards hemlock overlook in Clifton. The bass love them too. Same with beetlespins. Does anyone know anything about jigging for crappie on the occoquan and sections of the bull run? I'm debating on going out there after i get out for spring turkey a few times. The water temperature around this time of year is 55-58 degrees. So i hope the Bass are spawning soon, what do you guys think?
