    Most of the smallies will be done spawning by mid april in my opnion. Try some of the steeper rock banks, and of course you'll still find them just about all over chasing the shad which there are plenty of my friend. I have seen some very large brown fish caught above kingston but there are fewer of them there. Get ready for some large 17 1/2" fish that will totally crap-up your lures. You shouldn't have to make any long runs to catch fish, it's been taking around 12lbs to win local 3 fish tournys. Good luck and let us know how you do.
