I am only 13 years old and do a water shed camp for the manitwoc river every summer and last year we went to Collins marsh water fowl preserve and one of the leads has a permit to us a seine net at the end of the day the total count for fish was 500 BG,pumpkin seeds, and BGPS hybrids 500- yellow perch 150-baby common carp 400- bullheads and the real kicker over 600 baby large mouth any where from 2 in to 5 in I think the preserve gets over looked being a marsh but I also talked to the person that keeps an eye on the osprey tower and he has seen northern pike in there over 36 in, and large mouth over two pounds in the last few years the carp and bull head numbers have relay went down and the game fish population came up. and all of the little bass had huge belles full of 1 cm baby BG so there are big unstuted fish in there

I like throwing stick baits any color any size. every kind I have through has caught at least 1 fish over 16 IN even some 2 dollar stick baits I got at a antique store (the baits where not antique) caught bass for the pond I fish bass after spawn cant help them selves to stick baits it is nothing to catch 5-8 fish each weighing around 0.5 lbs to 3.5-4 lbs in 30 minuets also I usually also fish for pan fish and the big large mouth cant resits a medium leech on a plain hook split shot and bobber if the conditions are right even with 3 pan fish rods with night crawlers and 1 with a leech and 1 stick bait the leech and stick bait catch more bass then the 3 night crawler catch bluegills.

Went fishing in a privet pond today just trying to catch what ever(lots of large mouth bass and blue gills and few bull head and perch) had night crawlers,rosy red minnows,fat head minnows,leaches,. Went to the west side of the five acre pond with a swimming beach on it first cast blue gill next cast another blue gill then I Re baited with a 1 in pice of night crawler 1 and half feet from sinker and then another foot and half till clip on bobber. bobber goes under set the hook rod doubles over reel in 16 in chunk large mouth he had the hook in his moth just before the gills. My question was he on a bed or is it prespawn it was 6 feet water 45 degrees about. Then my brothers rod same set up with a minnow hooked through the mouth he hooks up and reels in a bigger one. this pond really dose not have much weeds yet and there are no fish cribs or sunken trees in there mostly rocky bottom in north east WI
