  1. Well we leave on Monday for Douglas and hope for some fun and great fishing.
  2. We are taking our Bass Boat and going to Douglas lake on vacation for a week from June 20-28 this year staying at Anchor Campgrounds. We have never fished Douglas Lake before. We will be fishing for Bass primarily. Can you give us any ideas of what crank baits, swim baits, colors, etc. to have with us for this trip? Also since our fish finders are older any locations to concentrate on would be great. From what I have read so far we are coming in a little late in the year for this lake and we will have to go deep for the bass. Do you agree?
  3. Bass60 started following Douglas June 20-28
  4. Well made the purchase. Went with the Loomis fast action 7'1" rod with the Shimano Curaçao 200HG. thanks for all of the advice
  5. Thanks for the help. We checked the dates at several camp grounds and could not find a spot for our large motor home so we had to change locations for this year and go to Davis Lake instead. We will book our trip for Dale Hollow for the spring of next year early so not to miss out next time. thanks again.
  6. Thanks for the great input. I am reading and shopping as the comments come in and it really helps.
  7. Heading to Dale Hollow in late June for a week. Couple of questions: Any suggestions on a good RV park with full hook up and boat ramp? will I need both a Kentucky and TN lic.? How will the small mouth fishing be there this late in the year? Thanks
  8. Want to purchase a Bait Casting reel and rod. Need some input. Would like to stay under $500 for the set. I have always used spinning reels Shimano mostly, fish from a bass boat, will be throwing crank baits, jigs, and some top water. What would you suggest.
