Do these mount's acutaully break when you hit something? or do have some kind of spring or cable that gives? Also what is your opinion of them? I'm looking at A motor guide pro 70 lb thrust for $399 from Bass Pro with this type of mount.
I drive an
1989 18'3" Winner Torunement II
1989 Yamaha 150 Pro V
With humming bird electronics.
It's an older boat but it get's the job done. And runs very well. (low to mid 60's)
A drift sock on any boat works well in the wind. A fiberglass bass boat would do better than a deep V because there is more for the wind to catch on a deep v. (bacisly they stick out of the water more) Also a glass boat usually weighs more and I think that also helps.
Has anyone had any exeriance with these? I was thinking about buying one. A Minn Kota Maxximum 65. Also does any one know anybody that sells these besides Cabelas? ???
