Hi everyone, my name is Lee and i am brand new to the forum. I've been Bass fishing in the northeast for about 16 years now, I have a 1996 astro bass boat that i ended up restoring and using in the larger lakes in NH and MA. I just recently purchased a 10 ft Jon Boat from Bass Pro, I am looking forward to fishing the smaller ponds with it. A little about me, I was a firefighter for 11 years but had to take an early retirement due to some major shoulder injuries so now i work a regular 9 to 5 job and fish as much as i can. Life is perfect when i'm on the water.

Thanks for the input guys. so it looks like i'll start off with a minn kota variable speed 55lb thrust and go from there. i'll head over to the introduction page now also.

Hi everyone. I am brand new to the forum. I just purchased a topper 1036 last night and am thinking of buying a 2.5 hp mercury for it, is this a good motor choice for this boat? Also, what size TM would be ideal for this size boat? I am thinking of a 55 lb thrust. Thanks guys.
