I appreciate the video but do you drop the oil on the shield part? I won't be taking them apart just leaving them in my reel. Or do you drop he oil in the center where the shaft would go?

Where on the bearing do you oil? Center in the hole? In between the two edges of the bearing on the flat part? I'm confused..

The Curado has only 5+ 1 ball bearings and other reels in its same price line have 10+. Why is Shimano putting in so many less bearings than its competitors when looking at the Curado line?

Yeah I agree, I dont think the reels are refurbs..

There are no individual serial numbers for reels..

I believe they are 5pm - 845pm. I have yet to fish a wednesday event but im pretty sure those were the times they were using last year.

My buddy who pretty much only buys reels off ebay now has had way better luck from ebay dealers than cabelas/BPS. He said he has had more lemons come from cabelas/bps than ebay over the years. He is strictly talking new reels not used reels from ebay.

Yeah I know a few people who have bought eBay reels and they have all been good that's how I found out about getting them off there. You might have gotten a lemon maybe it wasn't done on purpose

Makes sense was just curious if they could be selling fakes but I bought one and it had everything and it looked legit.

How can guys on eBay sell brand new name brand reels at 25-40% discount off what tacklewarehouse or cabelas would sell? Example being a Daiwa tatula I can get from TW for 150 but on eBay I can find the same feel for 95? thanks for the insight!

Lews has come along way in the last few years. Anything above the tournament MB line you will be happy with. The tournament MB line is kind of the start to where their product becomes pretty high quality. If you havent tried a Team Lews Lite you are missing out. They make a great product everyone has their own opinions ford vs chevy here really. The top reel makers imo are Shimano, Lews, Diawa, Abu no real order.

Which Dobyns fury baitcasting rod would you guys suggest for primarily 1/8oz-3/8oz texas rigs? Would this work for swim jigs/chatterbaits/spinnerbaits as well? Thinking 16-17lb fluorocarbon on the rod. Thank you!

What makes it non tournament worth in your opinion? I looked at the layout and seems to be able to hold enough gear but I could be wrong.

What are your opinions on the Triton 179 TRX? The triton would come with a 115 merc and the nitro would be a 150 merc. Now i know the nitro z7(z18) will get me going 55-60. My worry is that the triton with the 115 wont get me going at ideal speeds. Would the triton 179 trx with the 115 get me going atleast 45-50 mph? Is the Triton 179 TRX ok to do bass tourneys with or would the nitro do better? Im not doing any pro level tourneys just local tourneys in the state.(just starting out in the tournament scene) Thanks, LEW
