  1. I agree. Everyone there did have great etiquette. I didnt have time to go to the shallow side on my last visit. I fished near the boat lauch in that mixed vegetation with a Gambler burner craw and didnt even get a nibble.
  2. There is a pond in Bowling Green, VA named Broaddus Pond and i cant figure out if it is private or public. It is located on the backside of a graveyard and has a boat ramp and there arent any "No Trespassing", "Private Property" or "No Fishing" signs, but i hardly see anyone fishing there. There are some decent sized blue gill from what i saw by the boat ramp and i could see lily pads moving without the wind blowing and fish jumping quite often. Groundskeepers dont seem to mind you being there, but the one time i did see someone fishing there, they said it was private. I wasnt sure if he was trying to guard his honey hole or if he was serious about it being private. I'm really curious because i am looking for new places to fish within a half an hour from my house and this place looks perfect. Any information would help.
  3. They are required to take a boating class. Thats why i dont go to busy lakes. I believe you can call the Marine Police Dispatch Center and they can help out (800) 541-4646.
  4. I did find one attractor and fished it for a while but couldnt get anything. I fished near the dam with a weighted texas rig with different soft plastics, and still didnt get anything. I may have to get out there early and try my hand at some deep diving crankbaits.
  5. Hello all, I've been out to Lake Orange 4 separate times, 3 fishing from the bank, and the 4th I took my boat out. All 4 times i've goose egg'd. Everyone I talk to before leaving usually says they have trouble catching fish there too. Is it just bad luck, or are the fish just not biting? I've tried everything except live bait. I've tried everything from finesse fishing to carolina rigging and everything in between.
  6. Hello all, I am headed to Nags Head, NC over labor day weekend and wanted to know if there were any good bass fishing spots in the area. I'm traveling from Virginia and I'm looking to have a decent day out. They don't have to be your secret honey hole. Any pond or lake will do. Thanks in advance
