  1. Just adding to what fivebasslimit said. My club has night tournaments in July and August, the hottest months of the year here in Florida. I was just thinking the other day of how neat it would be to see a night time Elite series event!
  2. i dont think so!! I use 3mil bags everyday for construction debris. There aint no way im trustin 2 mil to hold ANYONE'S fecal matter
  3. This is why we fish ladies and gentlemen!! For stories like this that we will never ever forget!! Great fish!! Congratulations!!
  4. My favorite subject!! The Manns Baby 1 minus is a great bait. Also check out Lucky Crafts RC 1.5 and 2.5. Also, dont rule out a lipless crankbait. rattlinrogue mentioned the Heddon/Excalibur Swim n image. I have caugt more fish on this bait than any other in my box. I love them. Very good looking and with a weight of 3/8 oz. they are easy to throw with baitcasting gear. And i also just got the new Excalibur wake bait which im looking really forward to fishing. I cant wait to see its action. Hope this helps.
  5. Well, i spoke to my dealer and he said it should not be that way. The boat has a 6 inch jack plate on it that seems to be mounted about 1/8 inch off level. I spoke to him about it and he is addressing the concern to Stratos. Otherwise i adjusted my jackplate so that the motor is level and all should be good.
  6. If you like BPS then go there and tell the guys that you are looking for a good first baitcasting reel and tell them what you are willing to spend. They will help you out. I would say BPS would be a great place to get you first baitcaster. I just got one of my friends into fishing and talked him into the pro qualifier reel. he is comfortable with it and likes it.
  7. Thanks for your help way2slow. i knew i would hear from you sooner or later!! im gonna call the dealer today and just double check and see what they say. Thanks again.
  8. Got to looking at the boat yesterday while cleaning it up and noticed the motor is not level. Its off by about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch. The first thing that tipped me off was the steering arms for the hydraulic steering. Going by that its about 1/4 inch off. At the jack plate its about an 1/8 inch off. Is this bad and is it going to affect the motor, meaning damage it? Im assuming it will probably affect performance? i had it in the garage today and checked for level ground and everything was level, except for the motor. What should i do?? Thanks for the help. Its a 2006 ETEC 200 H.O. on a 2006 Stratos 294.
  9. I am just the opposite of edbassmaster. I have several citicas and curados but i like the way the quantums feel in my palm better. Good Luck!!
  10. Ive got a 7 foot All Star Big Boy rod and its working well for me. Personally would never think of flipping anything as light as 1/4 oz. but im sure there i something out there. The big boy may have to much back bone for a 1/4 oz bait though. im thinking it might be hard to flip it where you want it. i have heard good things about the Kistler.
  11. Mine is masterlock item nuber 1480DAT. Its very similar to yours. No problems with rust thus far. Doesnt feel like it locks solidly, but never any problems!
  12. Costa Del Mar Fathom with blue mirror lens. 180 dollars. I love them. I wear contacts and i have very light blue eyes. i cant go outside on a cloudy day without sunglasses. these are awesome. I have also heard good things about solar bats but ive never tried them. Costa: my buddy has a pair of the fathom's with the amber lens. has had them for several years, atleast 3. last summer he finally had time to box them up and send them to the company for a scratch on the lenses. 3 weeks later he got his sunglasses back scratch free. NO Cost!! just my opinion, you cant go wrong with costas. You get what you pay for!! OH yeah, TRY THEM ON. Comfort is number one!!

I try not to fish a trailer hook if im not in a tournament. My new favorite spinnerbait is the premier plus also. i dont take off the trailer hook on that bait. I fished Lake Toho last weekend with it and never got hung up. (no stumps or brush, LOTS of grass, pads, etc.) About 2 weeks ago i was fishing with a friend and i had on a terminator spinnerbait with a trailer hook. I caught a 2 lb er and when i got it to the boat i realized i may have just killed this bass. He was hooked on the primary hook but the trailer had hooked back behind one of his eyes. i felt bad. I love fishing and would never do intentional harm to a bass. I know it sounds silly. Anyway, he was tore up pretty bad from the trailer hook. So, i am a fan of them but i will generally take them off if im not in it for money.
  14. I like Redline's philosophy! Its so much fun spending other peoples money!!! ;D
  15. What brands do you like? I would go with a Citica or an accurist model. But like they said, you dont need huge line capacity. You might be pitching 20 yards at most.
