Hey guys my name is Tyler I am new to this forum, but not new to bass fishing! I grew up fishing a lot with my dad on his bass boat, but a few years back he sold it and I stopped doing much fishing. I now started fishing again just on ponds and small lakes with my buddies and find myself having a blast. I really want to learn more as well as catch more than fish than my friends so i figured this is the place to do just that!

I fish a small private lake that features many homes with docks and a few fountains for cover, but little to no structure. The lakes max depth is probably 10-12 feet and the bottom is covered in weeds.. My question is what would be the most effective lures to throw to get those fish out of deeper water on these hot summer days when it is difficult to locate any significant changes in structure that may be holding bass.
