  1. I just completed the boater registration. I have done 3 similar tournaments for Wounded Wariors. I am looking forward to this.
  2. My wife and I use the sit on top Ascend 12 footers from BPS. I have used both and went with the SOT because of the ease getting in and out on the river. The water level flucuates here and we have to walk the rapids at low water levels. I have tried the sit inside ones and got turned sideways against a rock. The yak was full of water before i knew it. If you want to stay dry you will did the skirt. The same thing happened with the SOT and I got wet but was able to recover more easily.
  3. For under $50 the only thing I can think of is buying a disposable camera and get a cd of the pics when you get it developed. They make some digital waterproof camera's but they are over $100. I just use an old digital camera kept in a zip-loc baggie.
  4. The water was fairly clear even though we had some rain the day before. I was throwing a 6" trick worm wacky rigged on a 4/0 hook. Tubes produced zilch that day. This guy was hanging off a rock ledge about 5 to 8 ft down.
  5. This is the largest of 10 smallies I caught Aug 21 on the Rappahannock between the confluence and Motts Run.
  6. No wonder Godzilla hangs out in Japan.
  7. I was dubbed "Mudwalker" by one of my Marines because my patrol routes always got us into deep mud.
  8. Mike, I know it's a little late but Hunting Run is not bad as well as Motts Run or even Ni Reservior. All rent john boats w/electric motors. I would also recommend hitting the upper Rappahannock River for Smallmouth fishing. There are a couple outfitters in Fredericksburg that have kayak or canoe trips for a day. Kevin

Greetings All! I am finally getting around to my first post here. I just started fishing last spring, prior to that I was last fishing over 30 years ago. Now I regretthe lost time! Kevin
