Wacky Hooks vs EWG Texas hooks
What are your guys' opinion on owner wacky hooks 1/0? I heard they were pretty good. And also if you do use o-rings would you say the hook-up ratio is worse because the hook runs parallel rather than perpendicular to the senko?

Wacky Hooks vs EWG Texas hooks
Thanks for the advice! I'll try the owner wacky hooks out I heard a lot of good things about them. As for the O-ring, it's just that I lose way too many senkos not using them. If I don't use an o-ring its about 1 or 2 bass per senko whereas with the o-ring I get about 5-6. And I'm a pretty casual fisherman so I don't want to spend so much money especially since senkos are a bit pricey. Maybe I should try the 2 o-ring technique where the hook lays perpendicular to the senko?

Wacky Hooks vs EWG Texas hooks
So whenever I Texas Rig my senko I use a Gamakatsu EWG worm hook. But recently I have been wacky rigging with o-rings and I was wondering if there is a difference between using a wacky hook such as the owner wacky rig hook or if the EWG hook I am using is fine. As of right now I'm still catching a lot of bass on the EWG hook wacky rigger. It does look a little odd and big but it hasn't been failing me. Is there a specific reason to use the wacky hooks when wacky rigging? Like does using a EWG hook affect the action as compared to a wacky hook. And also is there a difference in using weedless vs non-weedless because I have heard that weedless hooks don't help much anyway.

Wacky Rig Senkos
I know this question has probably been asked multiple times, but how do you guys fish your wacky rigged senko's. And by that I mean the technique you use not how to rig it up or anything like that. Me personally I cast it out and let it sink on slack line and after a bit I'll reel in slack and twitch it multiple times upwards and then let it sink again. Rinse and repeat. So I basically just copy what everyone does but I noticed they usually do it with Texas Rigged Senkos not wacky rigged ones. I was wondering if this is the best technique for getting a fish to bite? I know that you're supposed to let the senko do all the work since it has amazing action. I've also heard of just lifting the rod tip up after letting it sink rather than twitching it up. Which way works better in your opinion? Another question I had was how do O-ring's affect the senko's action? I have been using o-ring's to save my money since senko's rip easily and I noticed the hook goes in along the worm length wise instead of like a t-bone style without the o-ring. Does that affect hookups and the senko's action while falling? And is it fine to keep fishing the same senko even if it gets a little ripped in the middle where the o-ring is? Sometimes the senko gets a little torn up where its sort of dangling but I still use it until the senko either falls off or rips in two. Am I just wasting my time or does a ripped senko not affect the action much?

FG Knot
@Mick Yeah I wasn't tying it correctly. I wasn't making enough half hitches at the end and I didn't bother to check it or cinch it down enough. Now that I really paid attention to details the knot is working out great for me! I tie a bunch of half hitches at the end and one that goes through the loop a couple times as the finisher. I also make sure to pull as hard as I can to cinch it before cutting off the tag ends and I lube it up while doing it too(with my saliva). So far its holding up. I just retied today because my leader was getting a bit short and the first time when I pulled on it after tying and cutting off tag ends etc. it unraveled right away, I might have messed up on one of the steps. But the next knot I tied is looking perfect. It won't budge at all. With this knot the little things matter the most!

FG Knot
Alright guys so I have been having a much better time with the FG knot now. Recently I got my hook snagged on a log or something and I pulled as hard as I can and the fluoro snapped, the knot was perfectly fine! Now if the 14lb fluoro snaps then the knot really is strong. I finally have confidence in my FG knot, thank you guys for your help. IMO best knot out there, my casting distance is farther than ever and the knot is basically unbreakable if tied correctly.

Thanks for the help. So what you're saying is that there really shouldn't be any problem with the line since the braid is still much thinner than the fluoro correct? It's just all about practice. I think I might look into the finishing to the knot. What would you suggest? I've heard overhand knot, and in the video he said hitch knot to keep the fg knot in place. I also know that I have been forgetting to wet the line when I'm done doing the finger trap part, so could that be a problem also? It seems so weird because when I cinch the knot and pull on it it seems so strong but when I put it in the water for the actual test it comes undone pretty fast. Today I was out and only caught 3 bass before losing the leader line altogether.

FG Knot
So I used to be a regular Mono user, using 12lb straight mono. But for some reason the line kept breaking out of nowhere and I didn't like the slack feel to the line since I mainly fish senkos and I could barely tell when the bass bit it. So a few days ago I switched to a braid with fluoro leader combo and I went out and got 20lb power pro braid and 14lb berkely vanish fluoro. I have been trying the FG knot since I heard its the strongest knot out there, but it keeps coming loose and breaking off. The line is fine but I keep losing my leader at the knot and all my senkos too! Am I just tying the knot wrong or is it a problem of my braid being heavier than my fluoro? I didn't realize that the braid had to be lighter than fluoro whenever I saw a forum about braid to fluoro leaders everyone had much heavier braid than their fluoro leaders so I went out and did the same. But I read the the fluoro has to be thicker than the braid for the FG knot to work. So is the FG knot breaking off because I'm tying it wrong or is it because my braid is a heavier pound test than my fluoro?

Buying Senko's in bulk
Aw man, that really hits me where it hurts. Senko's are my go to bait. I guess I could go out and buy 10 packs of 10 senkos to equal 100, but that would cost around 70-80$ compared to 55$. Oh well. I also did some research and if anyone wants to know why they stopped producing them in bulk then go to this link: http://www.nybass.racknine.net/illustrated/archives/threads/places/bulksenkos.htm I honestly think its just to make Yamamoto some more $, because their excuses don't seem legit. Which is upsetting but it's a business. Now I'm really gonna look into those Bizzbaits

Buying Senko's in bulk
I was wondering about the Tackle Warehouse bulk senko 100 packs. Whenever I go on the site to check it out its only showing 6" senkos in a 50 pack for about 56$. Another option is the 5" senko in a 100 pack for the same price, but for some reason I can't select that option. Is it just out of stock or something? Because I have heard on this website of people buying 100 pack senkos on there.
