Is there any dvds that are great to get for it?

Ok so I've been on here and many other sites trying to learn how to read electronics. I know the basics on how they work I understand archs are also fish. But I can't really tell what is a ball of baitfish or just junk in the water. I've watched many YouTube videos and they are great for the newer electronics but I have humminbird 788c and 788ci. Anyways I was praying that someone would be willing to help me or link me to something I can read with pictures explaining that it's bait fish and not junk

Looking into buying some jerkbaits. Was wondering what would you get if you could start over and not waste anytime with ones you didn't like. Looking to see others individual thoughts on the topic.

Palomoar you just go around the whole bait? I've done that and it seems off works... but seems off I've tied the improved clinch knot 2 times both the bait has been thrown off my line...

what knot do you use for these techniques?

How do you feel the garmins are?

I thought it would be interesting in seeing how/what electronics people run. Also if they fish in tournaments or if it's just going out with the kids etc.

My only thing there is wont they be outdated. For example I was looking into getting the onix but heard they are being discontinued. Or do the older products like helix 10 just get updates here and there?

Thanks everyone if I did buy the lakemaster and used it on my humminbird 788c and then I upgraded units would the lake master I used in the past work on the new one?

Looking into making my own if anyone does make there own if they can pm where I can buy them and what I'll need that would be amazing I google search it and nothing was very clear

Thank you with these units would I be able to drop shot down to them and see my bait or would I need the newer units? they are dual beams does that just mean 2d sonar?

I have a hummingbird 788c at the dash and a 788ci at the bow. I had a simple question I should know. The front one only works when the trolling Motor is down. So how does this work Am I seeing what's in front of me with this graph? when I turn the motor from side to side is the way the arrow pointing what I'm seeing? should I be able to see my bait if I drop it in front on this system?

I agree I want the best for my money and something that will last me aleast 3 years what's the one you would recommend for around 1500 each or lower? Im thinking of getting onix 8 ci and onix 8 ci si. Should I get them now for what tacklewarehouse sells them for or do you think there will be a better sale

Is there anyway I could keep my old electronics on the boat. Would they be of any use? I've been looking at the 9si it's only a inch smaller and isn't hd. High definition in finishing means what exactly? Will it show the structure any better or just be a dvd vs a blue ray?

I'm thinking of buying a new hummingbird electronic later this year. Hoping during the bassmaster classic there is a sell or something. Would you just wait till then if your trying to save money? And get a bundle of some sort?

I have a hummingbird 788c at the dash and a 788ci at the bow. I'm looking into buying maps for them. What would be the Best Buy I live in Des Moines, Iowa. Also how benifital are these maps? What exactly do they do. Sorry these are really basics questions but I'm just a little confused on it all.

I live in Iowa and it's normal temperatures right now are between 75-85 pretty sunny but windy days. I've been out to this lake trying to find a good slope to deep crank but not one bite. If anyone has suggestions on where and what to use on this lake and possibly explaining why they choose that it would help me greatly in learning how to dissect water. Thank you here's an old map

Is there a map image that points to coves/points/all types of cover and structure explaining what it is. Im getting confused on exactly what is what.... for example I'm assuming right now that every point is a point....and I'm sure that can't be right if that makes any sense at all?
