What I'm gonna do is take it to the store and they said they can spool it and they can tell me what they prefer or what I should do

Help me help me!!! I have been going for peacock bass in Miami for now two years and I've got all the lures u could think of thinking I have the wrong ones. I need help finding locations where me and my 10 year old brother can fish. We catch and release these peacocks and we only use lures. We used to use live bait but we don't wanna spend money every time we go fishing. I have from top water to sinkers and I have yet to catch one with any lure. I need help finding locations to fish. I fish from land so boat locations is out. We have gone to all the places we could think of and we haven't caught. Now we have seen a hand full of em and when we throw our lures at em. They just look at it and swim away.

I have a problem, when I tie a lure on my line and i tighten the knot the line breaks. I haven't changed out the line. I received the rod and the line that was on there is the line that I have been using and I haven't had a problem with it till now. I've caught fish on in and this has never been a problem for me. This is the first time it has happened to my rod and I've had this rod for three years. It happens on every lure and I can't use it because I'm afraid when I hook a peacock bass the line will cut and I will lose the lure. Can u plz help me and tell me what is going on. I'm freaking out because now I can't fish with out that reel or line.
