I am going up to a cabin on Balsam lake in Wisconsin and I was wondering if anybody had any tips for fishing it. I was hoping to catch some walleye, bass and maybe a northern. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I would go 10-15lb braid with 6-10lb fluorocarbon leader. On the baitcaster, I always run 15-30lb braid with 15-30 fluorocarbon leader. That should cover you for almost any fishing type i can think of possibly excluding topwater because fluorocarbon sinks. To fix this you can either use straight braid or use a mono leader

I have and ugly stick gx2 and if you are looking for a combo around $50 bucks its will do fine. If you are just looking for a rod I would recommend the No. *** Hellbent. It is $59.99. I have the baitcast version and I love it. I would highly recommend it assuming that the spinning version is of the same quality as the bait cast.

I fish Crystal Lake in Burnsville/Lakeville fairly regularly and over the past week haven't really had much luck. Caught a few fish a fish on the spinner bait, and a couple on the senko, but otherwise nothing. Anybody got any ideas for different tactics I could try. Any help is appreciated.
