I used to fish an Avid a few years back, I must say hands down the best spinning rod I ever owned. I switched it up for a legend casting rod after I broke it on a boating accident. If money is not an issue go with the avid for sure but you cant go wrong either way.

Hi everyone, My name is Chris I'm originally from Tampa, FL but for the time being I live in OK. I'm 30 years old and ive been fishing for about 25 years. I mostly fish for largemouth bass, my best largemouth catch came in at 13.5 lbs when I was 22, recently caught a 4lb smallmouth fishing out here in OK. I primarily use baitcasters my setups are currently 7' M St Croix Legend Tournament w/ Quantum Smoke reel, 7' M BPS Carbonlite w/ Quantum Accurist PT reel, and an 6'6 MH Abu Garcia Vendetta w/ Lews speed spool reel(spinning). I'm going to add a G Loomis E6X to my arsenal pretty soon and a Shimano Curado(thanks to the advice from you guys here)

Looking for some opinions, wanting to get a reel to put on a 7'0 MH G Loomis E6X. I've been eyeing up 2 reels, the Shimano Curado I and the Quantum Energy Pt. Recently found the Quantum on sale for 112. Which should I go with? I currently fish a Quantum smoke on a 7' M on a St Croix Legend Elite and a Quantum accurist on a 7' Carbonlite BPS rod.
