  1. I can't find it....
  2. Can someone tell me what the deal is with the lead ban? My brother inlaw told me something about not being able to use less than 1/2 an ounce of lead or something along those lines. Can DEC hassle you for using/having old lead split shot?
  3. Minnkota power drive on a pro team 17 tracker. Anybody have a powerdrive on a this boat or similar? Pros or cons compared to " traditional " bow mount? Opinions? Thanks
  4. Anybody using them? Opinions?
  5. Any opinions on this line? What do you use it for? BPS sale 4.99 a spool.
  6. First make sure you have a schematic for each. Get some good oil and grease. Find out if the drag washers need to be greased and what grease you should use for them. Strip the reels down cautiously. Soak the bearings in Ronsonol for say 15 to 30 minutes. Let them air dry. Clean the frame and all other parts with reel cleaner ( I'm sure you'll get recomendations on which one). Then re-oil the bearings with one drop on each, grease the gears, and use a little oil on all other moving parts. The re-oil and greasing while your puttung it back together. Thats how I do it.
  7. If money were no object I'd say the Simms. Can't go wrong with the Orvis waders, they have a good selection and they pretty much stand behind their products. I still say if you're gonna put them to the test Simms is the way to go.
  8. I have used stradics on my lighter surf rods for the last five or six years and they still perform as new. Thats in the salt night in and night out. The durability of these reels should not be in question as long as they are cared for. I have the 2500 and 2500mgfa for freshwater and love them. If you want light weight go with the mgfa.
  9. I have posted on several fishing sites asking about these rods. I purchased one on a rainshadow blank and wanted someone elses opinion of it. It is 6'10" med xfst billed for small cranks and top water and also drop shot. Sensativity is where I feel this rod may be lacking. I should add that I have not been able to fish it much due to the weather and family obligations. I ordered a 6'9" med hvy fst on the shikari blank and am waiting for delivery. The shikari blank seems to be what everybody else has and I haven't heard anything negative about them so far. I'm wondering if the first post on this thread " Lacking sensativity" is about one built on a rainshadow blank.
  10. Is anybody familiar with these rods?
