yea sounds like high resistance in starter or battery cables

i hooked what appeared to be about a 30 to 40 pound flathead at smithmountain lake one morning on a fatfree shad with 8 pd test line.....when i finally got him up were i could see him he decided he would snap my line lol

yea i believe any boat with big motors should have a hotfoot its alot safer....i just installed a trim switch at the wheel ...... i love it

you can find a nice boat for that kind of money just take your time and look around.... i bought a 99 nitro 882 175hp hot foot and all the goodies at a pawn shop lol ...its like new.....a coke head pawned it lol.....12,000

my biggest thing to remember when i first drove a bass boat was to trim engine down before taking off or you will take off straight up lol...very important with big motor
