I pulled in this 3 pounder and many smaller ones fishing a canal that connects to the west shore of Lake Okeechobee. Not bad for a 1:00 pm bite, and bank fishing a spot I have never seen before.I was using a Controlled Descent Jerk Shad set to float(totally float with a 4/0 hook) Carolina Rigged with a 12" inch leader. Most of the fish were caught tight to the vegetation on all three canals that I fished.
OK pic is too big for this site and its only 3 pounds so I'm not going to bother with it tonight. She had a big head and probably will be over 5 in a few months with the Florida spawn.
