  1. Braid is the only way to go for your flipping/pitching rod. Also the 65 pound stuff seems a little easier to manage with the thumb when you have near zero spool tension.
  2. I'm on the "color matters" side of the argument. I like using hi-vis yellow and white braids so I can clearly see what my slack line is doing, however I will color the last 6 feet or so with a brown or green sharpie.
  3. Hey guys. After reading these forums a bunch over the last few years I decided it was time to sign up and contribute to this community. My name is Nick and I'm from SW Florida (Fort Myers to be exact). I fish local canals, retention ponds, lakes, and golf courses for largemouth. I love finding unpressured fish and getting them to blowup on topwater baits. I fish mostly frogs, jigs, swimbaits and finesse. My current PB is 6.47. Anybody local to Fort Myers area, I am always looking for new people to fish with.
