I cannot believe I have been a BASSResource groupie for so long and yet to fill out a profile. I am a Lady Angler who has fished almost my entire life.



I grew up in the ozarks where lakes, creeks and ponds were plentiful. So, even as a child, I would take off to scout out the best fishing spots, and more specifically, LargeMouth Bass. And that has been my quarry all these years. That maybe commonplace now, but back then fishing was usually just thought of as dinner.



I now live in McKinney, Texas. I love fishing here due to such a variety of lakes.

Lake Wedington which is nestled in the Ozarks-St. Francis National Forrest located in the upper northwestern corner of Arkansas has my heart hands down. It is not a large lake and not in anyway a bass fishing hang out but I know it like the back of my hand and it's not just the nostalgia that takes me back as I love cruising around my old favorite spots and see if the still hold the fish. My husband and I have long thought about building a private lake but, at our age I'd rather make the run north to the Lake I cut my teeth on...Lake Wedington.

I have considered turning pro many times. Without diminishing the Ladies Tour, it just wasn't for me. A full year as a co-angler and a three catch limit seemed a bit daunting to me and I really didn't want to buy an expensive boat that is just for me seemed frivolous. So, I fish 3 or 4 days a week without the pressure of a tour. Our community has a small lake, I like the be there at first light. I read some from PSalms and have a little devotion right smack dab in the middle of a little peace of heaven. Since most of those who fish there are not seasoned they way I have, I limit myself to two a day. Some think I'm crazy in that with my ability I would shut it down. But I have a myriad of places to fish so there is no need to pressure our nice lake.....Besides I fish so early that other anglers don't know just where I fish and what I'm throwing.



I threw in the Hybrid photo just to say I'm really not a one trick pony. If the bass go off and it is 100 degrees at 8 PM and I see shad boiling nearby "A Hybriding I'll Go."
