  1. I will need to put some work in on the water with it before I can actually make a statement about it but from my initial thoughts I would consider it a budget CI4+. I initially wanted to get another Stradic fk but saw this on the fishusa website and decided to take a chance. Feels balanced in hand which is nice and weight wise it's right inbetween the fk and CI4+. Depending on what the local tackle shop has in stock I am probably going to run out and grab a rod to mount this on and take it over to the pond when it stops snowing. Maybe wake up a couple bass to see what the reel is made of.
  2. Just received this in the mail so I guess I can add it to the list...
  3. I personally like the tatula and out of the three you have listed would probably go with that. Have you Considered the Caenan From Shimano? I have seen a ton off good reviews on it!
  4. Brothers birthday is coming up and all he has really been asking for is a travel rod that he can throw big baits on and do some fairly heavy stuff with. I was reading around and found the *** *** black II. Unlike the original *** black all I have seen is good reviews of the II. This is the model I was thinking of. As a gloomis/shimano guy I don't have too much experience with some of the newer brands. Any thoughts, opinions, recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Tim

Saw at them at the school tour and knew I needed a frog, jig and some small plastics. These were the only rigs I brought with me. I knew that one good night at the campus bar would lead to a broken rod so I left all the nice stuff at home.
  6. I know I am a little late to the party but thought I would chime in! I ususally go with a GLoomis IMX904CFPR Matched with Shimano Curado I and some 50lb power pro. I almost religiously throw the koppers live target frog but if the local tackle shop doesn't have them I go with o'l faithful the Booyah Padcrasher
