Hi. I am new to fishing with spinning reels and the use of rods. Im based in Papua New Guinea and note there is very limited to no spinning tackle options at all From what i have gathered, iv decided to purchase a OKUMA AVENGER AVII-80 REEL 20/400 25/290 30/220 (lbs/yrds) and pair that with a RAPALA PITBULL EXTREME 15kg rod. Id like to put a 80lbs/300yds braid (sufix) on it. Id like to use jigs and popper lures Id like to be able to cast with this set up I fish saltwater from a boat hopeing to land palegics and GTs. 1. Is that a good match? 2. What different size braid can i use? 3. Will the 300yds fill the spool? 4. What leader and size should i use? 5. What jig weights can i use? Your advise to the matter will be much appreciated. Thanks
