I’ve tried many jig rods but haven’t sound the one. Anyone have any recommendations I want to keep it below 175. I really want to try the quantum G force rods or the quantum smoke s3 anyone tried those? Also if anyone has used the quantum rods which would be better for jigs about 3/8 to 1/2 the 7’4 heavy or the 7’2 medium heavy? If anyone has experience with these quantum rods or a good jig rod please let me know.

I want a good rod for anything from square-bills to 5xds. I would like a relatively light rod i have 3 browning silaflexes but those are pretty heavy and i think they have too much flex for my liking. Ive got a orra winch which cast pretty good and i like the handles on it. I just need a good rod any suggestions? I want it to be less than 150.

I personally use a johnny morris carbonlite 7 foot heavy rod with a shimano curado 200ihg with 65 pound power pro. I really like a 7 foot it lets me work the frog good and has a ton of backbone. I love the 65 pound braid i dont use 50 because its just a personal preference i think i can just set hook and crank in easier. I think the curado is the best reel you can buy for the price it cast far like really far and has a ton of power.
