Basswrangler

I am from northern Utah and fish an area known as cutler d**n. This is a river system that is 90% shallow 1-3ft with a channel being upwards of 18ft. There are at least two different rivers that feed into this "swamp" . Water clarity is usually very muddy with no visability, there are a few bridges and many little islands and mainly catails for shoreline and muddy silty bottom. I was wondering where some good places would be to try and catch some bass in this type of river system. I know there are large mouth and small mouth in this river. This time of year water temps are around 39-43 degrees. This river is very slow moving with not much current except for in the channel itself. I love to bass fish and I am trying to pattern this place out. Most people fish for carp and catfish in these waters but i know there are big fish in there and just trying to locate them. Trying to broaden my river fishing skills and would appreciate any input on where is should target. I am from northern Utah and have River system near by called cuttler reservoir. There are three different rivers that feed into this marshland of a lake. The Bear River, Logan river feed into this. The average water depth is about 4' and the channel being upwards of 18' Most of it looks just like swamp. I know that there is small mouth, Large mouth, crappie, walleye, carp, catfish in this river. I am trying to get any information on how to narrow down to where the large and small mouth bass are located during this cold time of year. Water temp is 39 degrees with usually zero visability. There are many islands channels three bridges mainly cattail banks and muddy bottoms. It is a very slow moving river. Just looking for any ideas or tips on how to up my catches in this dirty muddy river/lake. Thanks.
