What is the consensus on spooling stronger line onto baitcasters? I have an older Quantum BC and it has been fished with everything from 10-15lb Stren mono. No problems. Now I want to be able to pull bigger fish out of the weeds and heavy cover, and I am wondering about some of the newer braids and super lines. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I was gifted with two packs of Kreatures - a green and a blue. They look great and I am hopefully going to be successful with them. Here is the question. How do you guys rig them for the best presentation? Fish 'em forward or in reverse? I live in Florida where I can fish daily on several lakes and want to give there a try. Thanks in advance.

Having to reline reels is a regular thing when we all fish often, but here is a question. Following the "spool capacities" usually shown on a reel makes sense, but how far can you push it? I mean, is it smart to put 15lb mono on a reel that shows 140' / 12lb? Also, is it recommended to use higher test lines on BCs as opposed to spinners? I fish a lot of cover areas on my local lakes and find 'em hiding in all sorts of mess. I want to be able to extract my little friends with a minimum of hassle.

I am trying to make better use of my Quantum baitcaster, but cannot locate the manual that came with it. My question is a basic one - when starting with fresh adjustments for a new lure, does the Mag dial "start" at 0 or 10? I can cast a 5" Senko plastic about 60 feet now, but I want to make sure I am on the right track. Thanks in advance. Dave
