  1. Just caught this 21incher and scale said 4.78. Just read that a 21inch smallmouth should weight around 5.5lbs. You guys think the scale was correct?
  2. I currently have a 7’9” XH 1/2-4oz Fast Fenwick elite tech rod that I use for swimbaits and was wondering if it would double as a flipping rod or is it a bit too heavy?
  3. Would a grill injector work?
  4. Ok thanks guys!
  5. I know it’s ideal to use an injector and all but I’m on a tight budget. I bought this mold and the area you pour into looks big enough for me to be able to just hand pour it in. What do you guys think? Will I need an injector?
  6. I am not, the main forage in the lake seems to be leeches and crawfish
  7. Summer, I have fished the point in the summer with no real technique and caught perch and walleyes but not as consistent as I’d like too
  8. Say you just rolled up to one of the spots circled in red, how and where would you start fishing them? And say the wind was blowing to the east ->, would you fish the green or yellow side?
  9. Not going to be much help but I know as pike grow up the bigger fish move out deep while the smaller fish stay in the shallows because of the fishes preferred water temp. The bigger fish need cooler water while the smaller fish can stay comfortable in the warmer shallow water.
  10. High 2's to low to mid 3's?
  11. Thanks, its a tatula elite
  12. Just an all around rod for jigs, I want to be able to fish in a little bit heaver cover but would also like to fish with some jigs around rocks, humps, points...etc
  13. I can get both of these models for pretty cheap right now and am looking for a jig rod. Which one would you pick for just a all around jig rod? mostly casting on points and ledges but some fishing around docks. PITCHIN' H F 7'3" 1 14-30 3/16-1 1/2 SKIPPIN' JIG H F 7'1" 1 16-30 1/4-1 1/2 Fuji®Alconite
  14. Baitcasting, gonna put a tatula sv on it.
  15. @Matt_3479Out of the avid and e6x, which one do you think has more cork filler used in the handle? kind of ocd about that lol.
  16. Looking to pick up a all purpose rod, i've narrowed it down to they's three. Which one would you guys get?
  17. Those type r’s look great with that shrink wrap!
  18. Yea I’m just worried about if the sticky residue will come off, thanks.
  19. I ordered some Winn wrap for my rod but don’t want it to ruin the cork. Has anyone removed them before? Did it ruin anything?
  20. The cork doesn’t actually meet the blank on the rod ( second picture ), the whole cork on the top price screws to tighten for the reel seat ( first picture ). That’s why the cork fell off, bad design. It’s left in unsupported in the top for a couple cm’s. Thanks guys
  21. Thanks guys, I ended up buying the titebond iii and took those cork chunks coming off out, I then glued the sides and put then back in. I filled the remaining holes with the glue as well. Here’s how it turned out, looks good to me ?
  22. As I was cleaning my rod some chunks of cork cane off, I was thinking about getting some wood glue and mixing it with some cork shavings to use as glue so that I could put it back together. Any suggestions?
