I should be given some visitors passes for the Memphis in may BBQ comp and I would be more than happy to share them with any of you guys if you would like to attend. Very generous roadwarrior! What's the weather like over there in may? Do you guys find it's a good time of year for bass? If it's like over here late arfternoon in summer is heaps of fun, we don't lose light until after 7:30pm and the surface action is awesome fun! Do you guys get many on surface? This is the first bass I got off the top with a Halco Night Walker in H52 Fluoro Green. Caught heaps since and it's probably my favourite way. They make a huge boof sound when they take it from the surface and then you know your alive ?

Thanks mate I will be definitely be buying some tackle over there, you guys get new lures and toys years ahead of us over here. Lol. Where I live we just had massive floods that have destroyed half of the town ( Lismore NSW) and as I'm a sparkie (electrician) I've been out for the last week and a bit getting power back on for folks for free. I can't wait to go fishing over there, what species can I expect to catch around Memphis? Large mouth bass? Crappie?

Hey guys, this is an awesome thread! Some great fish you should be really proud of. I'm an Aussie avid bass fisherman and fish all my local areas over here for our native Australian Bass. I'm heading over to Memphis in may for the BBQ comp as part of a team. I hope to get some fishing done when I'm in that great part of your country. Would any of you great fishos be keen on taking me out for a fish so I can try a tick some of your guys species off my bucket list. As you know local knowledge goes a long way and my time here is very short (1 week) so I don't have the time I usually would to sus out a good spot. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers Bill
