  1. Where was this purchased? I can't find any site where they're that price! That's a great deal! Could you PM me the links if you still have them? I was checking out the Daiwa Fuego 100H and Revro 2500 spinning, they can be had together for ~$120 on said auction site. Figured I could get one casting rod now and purchase a spinning in a couple weeks.
  2. Hey all, thanks for the responses so far. I definetely plan on buying more rods/reels sooner than later, probably buy another within the next 3 months. I've been fishing almost everyday for the past 4 weeks, weather permitting... don't see this turning into a "once a month" hobby anytime soon. I'm thinking I would like to get one good setup that I will be happy with down the road. Also figured I'd throw in what I'm borrowing from my brother, Reel is a Shimano Bantam Castaic CA200 Rod is a Berkley Bionix IM6 graphite I'm hoping I'll be upgrading from this setup, seems a little dated! I won't be making my purchase for a week or two though, so I always appreciate more feedback!
  3. Hey guys, there's probably a thread already started similar to this but I couldn't find anything.. I'm just getting back into fishing (mainly bass now off of banks), it's been years and just wanted to get a rod and reel so I can stop using my brothers gear. I've got a budget of $200 and am wondering if I should spend it on one better quality baitcaster or if I should go for a couple of "affordable" spinning and baitcast combos. I'm not a huge fan of spinners but I know I should learn to like them at some point. I would also be open to two baitcasters setup for different applications. I was originally looking at a Tatula CT with a Veritas/Vendetta 7' or the new Lews Mach 2 combo. But I also liked the Lew's Carbon Blue Speed Stick combo they have at Dick's for 79.99 and figured I could get that and a spinning combo for under $200 as well. Let me know your thoughts, or links to other threads!
