I am at Fort Lee for the next 4 1/2 months for training, but I am from Alabama/Mississippi so I don't have a clue where to fish. Any suggestions on some places to try bankfoshing as I don't have a boat with me?

5.2 lbs on a 3-5 bluegill squarebill

edit- Ended up buying a revo beast about a month ago that I now use primarily for bigger swimbaits and jigs. It is such a smooth reel in terms of casting and retrieve. It is definitely my nicest reel (better quality than curado I and other Abu's) . It is just hard to feel lighter baits with this reel since it is so beefy. This reel does not belong on a small rod either.

I'm new to Mississippi and I do not currently have a boat. I'm hoping to get one soon. But until then I'm limited to ponds and very small lakes. I'm hoping some people on here would be willing to give me some ideas on where to fish in Jackson and the surrounding area
