So I was looking at the LMB trophy catches in Virginia at: Workbook: Trophy Catch Submissions (gooutdoorstoday.com) I noticed there was a trophy catch last year at Lake Manassas, but according to DWR, this lake is closed to the public: Lake Manassas | Virginia DWR Is this actually the case, or is fishing allowed here?

hey guys, I have a fishing tournament at Leesylvania State Park, VA in August. I'm looking to prefish the area for the first time sometime soon (from a kayak). I was looking for pointers/advice as I've never fished this water before and finding any info about it seems to be pretty scarce.

Hey guys, So I was interested in getting into some kayak fishing tournaments, specifically the Mid-Atlantic Kayak Bass Fishing Series. However, I've never fished in a tournament before and I don't have the means to upgrade from my entry level kayak. I was just curious for some pointers as to what's expected. I understand how the rules and everything works, but will I stick out like a sore thumb in my Future Beach Cayman from Dick's? Does everyone usually use fish finders in tournaments? Also curious as to basic strategy. Is prefishing the body of water essential? Should I hold up and camp a spot as soon as I catch my first fish? Tips, tricks, and advice is much appreciated.

Just started kayak fishing and was wondering if kayak fishing tournaments here in northern Virginia was a thing?
