I'm retired, live in Nebraska and would like to get a little more bass fishing in this year. Water temp today was 42* and no success. I have a chance to take a week long trip the first week in December and looking for advice on where to go. I plan to spend a week there, and looking for recommendations on where to go, stay, fish, etc. I have a 17' Crestliner VT17 which I plan to take. I'm willing to drive a full day (600-700 miles?) so that should open up quite a bit of Texas as well as MO/OK/LA/AR. Looking to hire a guide the first day and then spend the rest of the week fishing solo. Recommendations for lake, accommodations, and guide would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Mike
