I don't use fluoro on any spinning combos. Use mono and you won't have this issue. Fluoro never works right for me on spinning reels either. If I need fluoro I'll use a fluoro leader at most.

I've been lurking on the site a long time and finally signed up. I live in Wisconsin and fish mostly lakes in SE such as oconomowoc, etc. I fish for bass, panfish, pike, you name it! I have a 17' alumacraft and often fish with my 8 year old son. To to that point, I have a question and not sure exactly which forum it might fit into. I'd like to find a lightweight breathable cool life jacket for my son as the cheapie he has right now makes him very hot in summer, and looking for suggestions! I should also mention he is still learning to swim.

Same here. Sold my daiwa and shimano and now use nothing but flueger. They just work great for me, and the "feel" was better to me.
