Thanks all ... One more qq ... your favorite top water bait?

Temperature is currently too hot for much top water but I caught some nice fish a couple weeks ago when temps were down and overcast was heavier. But while fishing today there were a few fish evident on the surface until the wind kicked up due to a light front moving through. My question is: does the wind kill the top water action or just mask it because it's harder to see the fish breaking the surface while chasing bait fish?

The first fishing that I remember doing was with my dad and brother in the Mobile River delta using seed shrimp on a cane pole in a rented wooden boat and catching bluegill ... probably 6 years old ... and had the best time! And it certainly wasn't catch and release.

Rediscovered fishing a couple of years ago. Live in metro Atlanta area and fish from a Hobie kayak. Love the peace and quiet ... until the big fish bites!
