My friends and I have always gone on summer fishing trips around Lac La Croix but not we’re thinking about trying the MN side of Lake of the Woods. We prefer smallmouth and walleye over lake trout and northerns. Does anyone have any fishing resorts they can recommend? Thanks - I promise I’ll post pics of our trophy catches.

I hope you can help me arrive at a good guess at the weight of this 21" smallmouth I caught this week on Lac La Croix in the Boundry Waters. We didn't have a scale in the boat or a way to measure the girth, and I'd like to get a replica on the wall. Any guesses?
