  1. I dont know but Thrift is, in my mind, THE best tournament angler in the world right now! I would love to see him join tbe elite series and smoke 'em all!
  2. I bought 2 of these last year and love them! Good choice!
  3. I love my garmin echomap but I pretty much map every lake i fish with quickdraw
  4. I've had a lot of success using Lake Fork's Live Magic shad 3.5 as trailer for a spinnerbait. I like the Powerbait Chigger Craw as a swimjig trailer. Here in Michigan, a local company called kustom kicker jigs makes an amazing swim jig called the Deposit Swim Jig. Ive had a lot of success with that as well.
  5. Hey Everyone! This past year I coughed up the big bucks and bhave bought one sooner! So now Im wondering,"What else am I missing out on?" I am interested in hearing everyone else has learned about specific lures/plastics and which ones seem to far superior to the competition within the same category. thanks!
  6. I am a believer! Ike does an interview on it, you can find it on youtube, and he said it works 20% of the time, 100% of the time (or something like that). Everyone around him laughed and he then turnec to them and said, "im serious!" There is no doubt that there are situations where the hydrowave works. here is my take: bass that are schooled up are very competitive when it comes to food. If they think their buddies are feeding, they are going to go and get food before its gone. Hydrowave sends out noises and gets the fish fired up and it does work, sometimes. According to ike, 20% of the time. Ike is not sponsored by hydrowave. Every elite series pro has it on their boat. If it didn't work, why would they waste their $$$?
  7. Ive spent alot of time fishing the whopper plopper and this is what Ive learned: 90 gets more bites but the 110 and the 130 gets bigger bites. If you throw it in a spot that looks good and you do not get a hit, throw it in there again. Fishing it fast , very fast, is sometimes the way to go. I think the whopper plopper gets a bass' interest but if it is not moving fast, they can swim along side it and inspect it. If it is moving fast they dont have time to think - they just react. Im not sure if the reaction stems from an instinct to eat it or an instinct to be territorial. My last insight is that it is sooo good in choppy water, and too much noise in calm water. When the water is still I prefer a spook. Hope this helps!
