  1. Thank you sir! That makes sense. He made a lot of the baits in the collection. I greatly appreciate the help.
  2. Can anyone help me. I have found a box full of different Jig 60 and 90 Gamakatsu hooks. What would be the use for these? There are a lot of different types, but looks like most are "round bend." It does not seem to to have a design for plastic worms like the offset shank worm EWG that is with the senkos. I am trying to organize a large collection so any help is appreciated.
  3. Hello Tom, ANY INFO IS APPRECIATED! Finished up sorting zipper soft baits tonight, and checked the rods. Here is the first batch I have started looking at. Rods Baitcaster Gloomis GLX FSR 905X 7'6" hvy fst Megabass F4-610XDti Elseil 6'10" Gloomis GL3 FSR904X 7'6" HVY mod-fst Gloomis MBR783C 6'6" MD/HV Fast Lew's Custom Speed Stick LMHC 7'6" HVY FST Megabass F7-72X 7'2" Megabass F4-70T 7'0" Spinning Daiwa TD-X 6101MLFS-C 6'10" Med/Lght
  4. Appreciate it. Figured the same from the name, but couldn't find any other details. So using it for frogs with braided line would be a decent use I would assume. Inherited some stuff and trying to figure out what all of it was used for.
  5. Could anyone help me out. What application this rod would be used for? It has a Daiwa Tatula 100HS Reel 7.3 attached. Other reel options available but was wondering specifically what the rod was designed for.
  6. The family did the complete opposite. They want the tackle/gear to stay in the family. He recreated a bait with his father a while back, and sold them for a while. We haven't started going through all of that stuff yet. Just trying to organize the loose lures, and all of the packages of worms/line. Once we get to the rods and reels I will post them. I know there are a lot of Megabass and Gloomis rods. Expensive stuff when new, but been around a while. Mostly Daiwa reels. Looked like maybe 20-30 of the same reel in particular which was peculiar.
  7. Thanks Tom. The fishing tackle along with the boat was very well taken care of. He definitely took pride in his fishing equipment. Just need time to go through it all. Wish I knew a fraction of what he did. Thanks everyone for the help, and taking the time to welcome me.
  8. It has been stored in a Rubbermaid container in a temperature controlled house. How do you test break strength? Above someone stated they tested their 8lbs and it broke at 8. Thanks everyone. Much appreciated.
  9. Recently we have inherited a large amount of high end fishing equipment. I am now going through boxes of fishing line. When opening some of the packaging it looks like some of it is from the 90's all the way up to last year. Does fishing line expire, or go bad? Most of the line is Fluorocarbon. Looks to be soecifically Sunline brands such as Shooter, Sniper, Machine Gun, and others brands like Spiderwire/PowerPro braids.
