Thumb bar engaged yet pinion gear still touches spool.
Finally, solve the problem with this issue begin with re-assembly from the scratch. Then I broke down all the mechanical break component including side-plate. I turned washers for the break inside out (carbotex or the plastic part). Then it magically fixes the issue! Thank you for all your helps thank you

Thumb bar engaged yet pinion gear still touches spool.
1. Turn the handle, check drag = work 2. Press thumbar and check if spool is on free spool= not work 2.5 press thumbar, turn handle clutch returns properly = work 3. Press thumbar then Spin manually for few turns then it become free spool rdy for cast. I just open the reel up and check pinion york, it is installed collectly. Is it the mechanical break issue?

Thumb bar engaged yet pinion gear still touches spool.
When thumb bar is pressed it return and turn spools when handle is turned. But if you trying to cast(free spool), it seems pinion gear still hold the spool even after thumb bar is engaged(down) ;( And once I force to turn the spool (when spool is locked even after tumbar) it starts to be free spool again as normal condition

It is matched with the edge of the clutch. But still locked when thumbar is pressed... hmm

Thumb bar engaged yet pinion gear still touches spool.
Hello all, I finally decided to dissemble my chronarch to give a wash and maintainance yesterday. I finished the job and felt that my thumb bar is too stiff and I redissemble and assemble it again. After, thumbar is fixed, it seems like doing good free spool when I turn the handle and put my reel on the rod for test. As I push down the thumbar I realize that the pinion gear seems still intact with spool pin, having no free spool. Any idea to fix this issue??
