Dworshak and CDA lake
Sorry i didnt update. I went up there in sept and dworshak water temp was 80 degrees. Found alot fish suspended at the bridge pylings but wouldnt bite. I went back into the coves and found smaller fish. Fished CDA and didnt catch a fish. Went back into anderson lake and had a blow up on a frog and thats it. Went into Blue lake and flipped the weeds in the very northwest corner and got a bump. I spent 10 hrs on CDA and got skunked. Meet some good bass guys at both camp grounds while camping at both lakes Left there and went to boardman washington and had a blast catching 2-3.5 smallies all day long.

Are you fishing from boat or bank? Lake cascade has some awesome smallmouth and largemouth fishing. Jus east of those to is a really good largemouth lake that no one really fishes thats a trophy lake and has tons of 3-5 lbers in it. PM me and ill tell ya where.

Western Reservoir topwater ideal temps
You can hook up with me sometime out on the bass boat. I usually fish alone.
-
Western Reservoir topwater ideal temps
Not right now. Fish is around 50' deep. Get a small float tube with a trolling motor and fish the narrows. Good fishing there in summer time

Dworshak and CDA lake
Jus depends on how deep the river is. You want it within foot off the bottom so that the water ripples do the work jigging it. You may lose one or two jigs when you using trying and error to see you depth, but if you have a smooth bottom you will be fine. Just throw it out and if you drag bottom, bring it up inchs at a time. I hit CJ friday and saturday and didnt do very well. Water is still really cold and fish are deep (40-50') still

Western Reservoir topwater ideal temps
I went to CJ friday and saturday and water temps were 44. Cove arm was 38. I caught one bass both days and he was in 43ft of water. Alot of people struggled on both days. Ive graphed fish from 30 to 50 feet on the channel up the snake arm. Last week on the other hand when it was mid 60s, water temp was close to 50 and people were cranking them pretty good. Air temp this week suppose to be low 30s so it should push them and the water temp back down for a few more week.

Western Reservoir topwater ideal temps

Dworshak and CDA lake
I learned the float 'n' fly when i lived in Tennessee. I caught these in ontario using that rig with hair jigs. Cj and brownlee have their special colors to use. Mostly spider jigs and dropshot. CJ you should always have a flippin stick ready. Cascade i use alot of dropshot and flippin Swan Falls, you cant go wrong with a white 3/8 double willow spinnerbait and a white zu too. You cant keep them off of them all day action

Dworshak and CDA lake
Right on. Im in nampa and fish CJ Strike, Swan Falls, Brownlee and cascade quite a bit. I love the snake from ontario to nyssa as well. Some big ass smallies in those deep holes. I caught these (an 4 1/2 and 3 lbs) smallie mid december near ontario in one of my deep spots.
