  1. They won't give me a refund. I have talked to four different "customer service" people and they simply refuse to give a refund or exchange it. The dealer they say I have to take it to now is a 2 1/2 drive in Houston traffic and I can't do it. Oh well, they will be old someday.
  2. I think I just got a bad unit. I have asked Motorguide to exchange it but they refuse to. The dealer closet to me refused to work on it any more because I didn't buy it there. The next closest, 1 1/5 hrs. away, requires that it be off the boat. When I tried to explain to Motorguide that I was physically unable to take it off, they basically said that wasn't their problem.
  3. Bought the XI5 new in Feb. First time on the water the gps didn't work. Took it back in and Motorguide send a new gps. It was defective. They sent another, it worked but the motherboard crashed. After a month in the shop I got my boat back. The XI5 worked six weeks and now the gps is out again.
  4. I think you are right. Better to return it and try MK
  5. Absolutely MK. I just bought an xi5and the gps doesn't work. Pretty poor purchase on my part
  6. Brand new xi5 anchor won't work. Motorguide says the module needs to be replaced. For the price pretty shoddy quality. Wouldn't buy again.
