  1. I did not know that. But to clarify the reason for my question (which I omitted because of the rules) is that I have a reel service business. I am trying to apply to become a certified repair center with the various reel companies. One company stated that becoming a center for them, makes me a repair center for their sister companies as well. So I am trying to group them and make sure I am not double applying, or not applying to one at all.
  2. I searched the forums but couldn't find anything, hope this isn't a repeat post. I am trying to figure out what reel manufacturers are "sister companies." For example: Abu Garcia, Penn, Mitchell, Shakespeare, Pflueger, Johnson, and Berkeley are sister companies. Zebco and Quantum are sister companies. Do Lew's, Shimano, Okuma, Diawa, Duckett have other reel brands considered sister companies? Are there other reel mfg's for the above that I missed? I realize that most of these companies also make rods and other equipment, but I am primarily concerned with reels at the moment. If this topic has been discussed before, can you please link me to the thread? Thanks in advance Bayou-Ratt
  3. Forgot about that site, but still didnt find the schematic there either.
  4. Recently received an Abu Garcia Ambassadeur ONE 5000. I cannot figure out what about this reel is different in order to find the most accurate schematic. Can anyone offer any help? Tried Mike's Reel Repair but there are so many different 5000's. The "ONE 5000" is in red. the reel has black side plates with silver strips for the lettering. I attached a picture as well
