when installing batteries in a boat, do you have to ground them to the frame of the boat just like you would in a car or do you just hook up accessories positive to positive and groung to ground.
i have a 79 sea nymph boat that is an aluminum jon. it is 16 feet long. my question is where can i get a replacement id plate since sea nymph is no longer around. the id plate i am refering to tells how many people, gear, motor. you know gross weight sticker. mine blew off sometime last year while trailering and someone the other day said you can get in alot of trouble for not having it. if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it.
i sure am glad i found this sight. looks like a great sight so here goes. i was given an aluminum livewell from another boat and want to install in my alum jon boat. my question is how to plumb it. it has two tubes coming out of bottom. one of these is my fill tube and the other is a drain and overflow in one. how do i hook up the drain / overflow tube so it operates correctly? the drain obviously needs to be at the bottom of the boat on my transom but if i put it there the overflow portion will be trying to drain below water line. how can that work. a diagram would help a bunch but any help to a new guy with minimal knowledge on livewells would be great. sry for so long winded.
