Well the weight is no issue at all, I was just curious about the changes and why they went from 2:33 gears to 2:07. I believe that now you can only get 2:33 in command thrust, which I am glad mine has the 2:33 gears. Like I said I have no issues I absolutely Love my boat, the way it’s set up and all I am just curious,

When I bought my Bass Tracker 175txw in August of 2014 it had a 60 fourstroke on the back. I asked the dealer if he could put a 75 fourstroke on it instead of the 75 opti. Well they did what I asked but it didn’t look like the new design but it is a 2014. My question is, in mid 14 Mercury changed the Mid Range motors and the newer models has the 2:07 gears and mine has the 2:33 gears. What other changes did they make other than the gears and oh yeah the newer is a 2.1litre and mine is 1.7 litre. Mine actually pushes my boat great no problems I am just curious. I also have the Spitfire X7 in 19p and moved motor up to 3rd hole from the top and since I moved it it is night and day on speed and overall performance.

I bought a 2014 Bass Tracker 175txw. A 60 fourstroke was on it but I wanted 75 hp. At that time the only option was a 75 opti. I asked the dealer to put a 75 fourstroke on it and he did. The tag on motor says it’s a 2014built in January but it looks like a 2013 but has a 2014 decals. It has 2.33 gears and it’s a 1.7 litre. If you look up the 14 models it says it’s a 2.1 with 2.07 gears. Is that the only differences and of course the cowl design. It pushes my boat great and I have no issues just wondering why it changed mid year and what else is different.

I have a 14 pro team 175 with a four stoke 75hp. Moved motor to 3rd from the top and a spitfire x7 17p. Speedo says 45 GPS is 40-41. Moving up to a 19p spitfire cause my RPMs are at 6000. My opinion this prop is perfect with motor in 3rd hole from top. Hole shot, speed, and handling is awesome.
