For some reason it wont let me upload the picture because the file is too big, but anyways i finaly got a normal sized bass im assuming it was like 2 pounds probably a bit more its still not the biggest obviously but a huge step for me from my last two and only two bass i ever caught that were under one pound! Prior to catching this bass about five minutes before i got smoked by another bass that pulled my line way harder than my fish that i actualy landed i was flipping a black and blue jig with same color craw. After that i was so ticked so i just switched to a C-rig and went to another spot like 10 feet away i hooked up an all black worm and dragged it along the bottom and maybe my 3 rd cast i saw the line slacked in a weird manner and i didnt even think i just yanked it and sure enough it was a bass? Thank you guys for answering all of my questions these past few weeks i wouldve never been able to catch this guy if it wasnt for all of your advice i really do appreciate it❤️

So im not sure if guys read one of my other posts where i talk about struggling to catch a single fish. But i think my issue is feeling the bite. When I cast out into the water i'm only waiting to fill that "Tic Tic" type of bite where i can feel a slight tug. i don't wait for anything else. Ive come to realize that there are other kinds of bites you don't even really feel besides a visual bite. so i can i try to feel those other kinds of bites? some people say its a mushy feel? like what the hell does that mean!?

Im using an abu garcia vengeance rod and reel combo. The reel is a ultra max baitcaster. Im a beginner at this hobby so whatever is best to start im down to try.

Anybody ever fished here its located in almost dead center of the state of new jersey, if so any advice on fishing spots for bank anglers on the shore and the types of lures you guys have caught bass with there. Thanks!

What plastic worms do you guys recommend on a Texas Rig and a Carolina Rig for Murky water at around this time of year and more into the summer? also a some what grassy bottom not really too thick very patchy.

Its been pretty hot around here latley upper 80s water temp around 60’s to the 70’s murky water only about 1 foot of visibilty and after that a fish is just a silhouette. and id say the deepest part of this lake is directly in the center at around id say 10-15ft range but i have to cast pretty far to get to that part id say that im casting out around a 4ft -10ft deep range what do you reccomend knowing this much. I agree i wouldve liked to work to catch my fish, sitting and waiting doesnt really give me that same feeling but i feel like i have no options anymore and i have to resort to cheating in a way I tried chicken today and sat out there for a solid 4 hours not a single bite just hundreds of blue gil like a piranha frenzy messing with my bait? what else do you reccomend, like what is the prime fishing hours of the day? Where should i look for bass in deep water or close to the shore at this time of year what rigs do you reccomend im pretty good at making rigs but sadly not good at using them

Okay what kinds of chicken should i use? Like raw chicken, or something that can stain the water like a bloody chicken liver? And how much line should i have from the bobber to the hook? Also exactly what kind of bobber because ive seen many different shapes and sizes that are used for different situations (this is a slow lake not much movement)

No boats here everyone fishes from the shore at this lake idk if that makes a difference with your response but thanks anyways! I have asked around before this guy caught like 6 bass in 20 minutes using chicken he just sat there and they were biting like savage animals. Idk what piece of chicken he was using or his rig all i saw was a bobber didnt see what hooks he was using and he was casting out in like the middle of the lake nearing the deeper side.

Okay so here it goes, I have fished saltwater my whole life, i got into freshwater fishing exactly 1 year and 4 months ago. Since then in the past year and 4 months ive caught 3 bass under one pound. Ive been going to mainly the same lake for weeks, months fishing for over 4 hours each visit. I have visited numerous lakes around me and i havent caught anything so thats why ive been mainly going to the same lake. Ive seen people catch big bass at the lake i go to ive seen them swim around. Almost all the lakes i love by here in Jersey are all murky so my whole setups consits of murky water water bait colors. Ive tried just about every jig, spinner baits, crankbaits (mind you i am fishing the right baits for the right temprature of water with no results) I have gotten bites but nothing massive. Im out of ideas and i just want to catch fish. I made this account today after spending my day from 8am to 5pm fishing around the whole lake using different baits with not a single bite. I dont know why i keep going but im not stopping until i catch a fish. I only have one rod since i did just get into the hobby. Is there any rigs that i could just cast and let the bait sit there and wait for bite? Because casting and reeling is not working many anglers over here are casting and and just chilling and catching big bass. (Also ive probably watched a crap ton of videos on how to fish each and every bait properly and had an entire year of practice and still no results. Please help me what can i do to getting some life at the end of my line!!
