Tom, I plan to use the rod I am most comfortable with, 6'6 medium heavy with blackmaxx reel and 20lb mono. I want to start finesse so small presentation. Don't want to go to heavier jigs just yet.

Ok, so I want to start Finesse jigging. I just want to finally learn to be comfortable with jigs because I am not. Jigs are like taking pills in the morning for me. They are a pain. I have a bitsy bug finesse jig 1/4oz. I have two types of trailers, rage menace and craw trailer. What do I throw, where and how? How long before should I toss the jig idea into the trash?

Ok, so I was fishing in rainy 65 degree weather and I was fishing a rage swimmer 4.75 inch on a swimbait hook. I kept getting strikes but no commitments. What and why am I doing wrong? Every time I change to a jig(any type) the fish ignore it.(I know this because I can clearly see them swimming right past the jig) What would you do in my position?

I bank fish with abu garcia and lews 6'6 - 7'0 medium heavy with 14 pound flouro. I use a shimano caius reel. I fish a 3/8 oz jig with a 2.8 kietech.

I actually have a few bags of 5 and 6 inch senkos. Are those a safe bet?

I am still so new to fishing. Maybe a year and a half at best. It's so frustrating to go and be fishless for about a month. I am using a swim jig with a 2 inch kietech paddle tail around an hour before sunset. Why can't I catch anything? Fish will follow it and large bass will follow and look like they will attack but bail at the last second. Should I try a swimbait or something? What am I doing wrong?I am fishing onondaga lake in New York.
