Will the blade still work?

I have not caught anything on an underspin yet. I can't concentrate if I don't do it. Should I fish a 1/4 oz on a 7ft medium heavy lews with my 6:1 shimano or my 7 ft medium heavy lews with 7:1 lews reel?

Drag is that star thing on the side correct? When I have a fish, I can turn the handle but line does not begin to come in. I hope that makes sense.

Ok so I just bought the tatula 100 ct. I have only been fishing for about a year and wanted to go in with a reel I wanted and could fit perfectly in the palm of my hand. The only problem is every time I have a fish on, when I reel, the reel just keeps turning and nothing is happening. When I pull in branches from snags, the reel does not do this. What is wrong?

Medium heavy with a 3,0 screw lock. The Trokar brand. 1/8oz. I have a 7 ft and 6'6. I am curious if one could fish a small swimbait on a 6'6. I have always seen youtube say that longer rods are better for swimbaits. Furthermore, when I bank fish, I can't walk one step without getting the end of the 7ft stuck in a tree or maneuvering it around my house.

Has anyone tried a fact keitech on a 6'6 rod? Like 3.8 inch one.

I agree that it is a work horse. Sure is. I mean almost to the point off being better than "high" end reels. I disagree that it is ugly. I think it looks pretty darn awesome. And the plus side is that when you buy the reel you are supporting the military which is awesome for Lews to do.

I plan on going fishing to my nearest lake. I plan on only fishing my keitechs 3.8. The reason is I need to get comfortable with them by staying them. Don't care if I get skunked. What I need to know is should I use them on a underspin or just the weighted swimbait hook with screw lock? The water I fish has been choc milk and windy. Very cold. Water has been at 33 degrees the past few days.

I use gambler little Ez and they match the hatch perfect. I have keitechs of all sizes by the metric ton. I am using an owner 3/16 oz hook The pond that I fish has bass and so does the lake. Been absolutely destroying them on jigs. I am afraid to put the jig down right now.

Ok, I have tried for on and on to catch something on a paddle tail. I need tips and help. I have been fishing a pond and a lake. The pond has sooooo much grass and a grassy bottom. Some rocks. The lake is filled with bait fish and have caught a bass on a crank bait, so I know that they are feeding on bait fish. I am fishing a small paddle tail with a weighted hook. I have used and under spin and nothing. Weighted without the under spin and nothing. Not even a nibble. What could I be doing wrong? This is the only bait right now that is giving me trouble and have caught nothing on. I want to learn how to use it the right way.

Literally everything, reeling slowly and feeling each rock, and letting the bait fall into crevices is what set this bass off. Looks like I won't put my jig down either.

I just wanted to post and say Thank you to each and EVERY single one of you that has answered or tried to answer all my questions. I was bank fishing today and asked around if anybody was catching anything. They said not even a bite. I looked and watched the anglers with their 100k bass boats and they had nothing. I was there for about 4 hours and decided to tie on a jig with craw trailer. I have finally caught a jig bass!!I can't thank you all enough on the help and tips. With this catch I finally felt as if I was a pro. I looked at the water and environment and saw craws on rocks just about everywhere. I throw a jig in and followed the contour of every rock and crevice. What a day!Thank you

You are right, I only fish for about 2 hours. I notice blowups in the water. I have also thrown a small jig in this floating green stuff on the water and a giant one cut throw the green stuff to go to the middle of the pond. To help you and others out, I fish at about 9 am until noon. This fish you see in my profile is my first ever just last week and that was late afternoon. Most days I go fishing it is cloudy and water is at about 55-60 degrees. I know this because I carry a thermometer. I am a bank fisherman. I have been trying jigs(all kinds)cranks(all kinds) senkos, and swimbaits. I fish each for about 10 casts and get discouraged and change. While doing this I see big blowups so I know there is fish there. Decent size. Maybe I need to just pick one bait, go out early and just study it for the whole day.

Ok, here is my problem, I have only been fishing for about a year. I have spent good money for the rods, reels,tackle and more. I always notice how people on here say that have only gone about a week without catching anything. I watch these Youtubers and pros and they can go to any pond, any lake and catch SOMETHING. It doesn't matter the conditions the clarity, it just seems that they put on any lure they please and catch a record. I listen to the people telling me I can't go fishing without this or that, I won't catch anything without this or that. I go about two months maybe three without catching ANYTHING. It is so frustrating so discouraging to me. I am only doing what others are doing to catch fish and...nothing. I have nobody to personally help me or guide me, I have to figure things out on my own and not catch a single thing while everyone else catches em by the pound. I am 100% sure that I am the only person on this website and on this planet with this problem. So there is my rant. Thank you for reading.

I guess where your losing me is when I see youtube video of the bass master guys fishing jigs, they always say there are using crazy heavy line. Are they not finesse jigging?

I have been saving and saving money and finally found a great reel for me as a beginner. I found Shimano just recently and I have one on a 6'6 medium heavy rod. I have a bigger rod for jigs but would love to know what lures would be great to start throwing on the shimano Caius? I have thrown a small swimbait, what else?

I have only caught a Northern Pike on a T-rig. So not to comfortable fishing T-rig. I bank fish.
